Guide to the Mexican Nation and Unit Specifications

A Mexican player should use cavalry (Cabs and Conqs) for his/her main armies and provide offense or defense as needed by their alliance.

The Caballerias provide an excellent first strike capability while the Conquistadors provide a quick response defense ability. Infantry is just a small add on so Mexican players must favour assembly points early on instead of farms because cavalry always needs to be grouped in order to be effective. Cavalry is quality, not numbers (which is the opposite of infantry).

The Mexican Nation gets an extra slot in the build queue and also has the strongest rampart in Wild Guns.

Suggested Town Configurations
The numbers below are based on maxed out food production buildings. With the exception of the Indian Nation it is always recommended to maintain a ratio of 3 to 1 defensive to offensive villages. Of course cavalry towns can easily switch over from building conqs to building cabs.

5 Town Configuration
1 Town of Defensive Infantry (3875 Ponchos)
3 Towns of Defensive Cavalry (965 Conqs per town = 2895)
1 Town of Offensive Cavalry (1287 Cabs)

10 Town Configuration
2 Towns of Defensive Infantry (3875 Ponchos per town = 7750)
4 Towns of Defensive Cavalry (965 Conqs per town = 3860)
1 Town of Offensive Infantry (3875 El Mariachis)
3 Towns of Offensive Cavalry (1287 Cabs per town = 3861)

Always remember that you need to upgrade your unit's defensive or offensive power in the academy. For example Caballerias start out with an attack of 160 but can be upgraded to an attack of 274! Once you start mutiplying the attack power by the number of units (example a maxed out town with 1287 Cabs) and you'lll see the difference. 1287 Cabs x 160 attack power = 205,920 vs at 274 attack power = 352,638. DON'T NEGLECT the RESEARCH!
